Fro 2008, Del Personally Supports John McCain

Del Albright (in the middle) Meets Vice President Dick Cheney. WOW!

vice president, dick cheney, del albright, power of politics

I was especially honored to attend a breakfast reception for Vice President of the United States, Dick Cheney, hosted by my congressman, John T. Doolittle.

I received an invitation to a special reception and was treated like a family member. I have been a donor and contributor to my congressman for years, but this event was truly a payback for me. It goes to show you the power of politics. By sending a few bucks to my congressman to keep him in office as he's a great supporter of ours, I was treated to this once in a lifetime opportunity. It was well worth it.

When asked, I tell folks that we users of public lands MUST do our part to keep our supportive elected officials in office. My Congressman has been a staunch supporter of things like access to public lands and multiple use. He is not afraid to speak up against bureaucracy that threatens our access. So when he asked me to attend this breakfast, I did not hesitate.

The power of politics is hard to measure sometimes. But this opportunity for me really showed me the light. By helping my congressman stay in office, I was able to go face-to-face with the Vice President of our great country.
